Today’s reform of the reform of basic education, language teaching materials has beenthe focus of experts and teachers. Text selection textbook-based language teaching in China,choose the number of the text, quality has become one important criterion to measure themerits of a teaching materials. The selected text changes, but also controversial concern andcontroversy in China Contemporary selected text. To explore the evolution trajectory oflanguage teaching of Modern and Contemporary selected text, after the enactment of thistopic, select the Compulsory Education Law,1993edition of the People’s Education Press,2000,2006(Curriculum Standard Edition), three sets of national compulsory education injunior high school language teaching study, one of China’s contemporary selected textclassification, induction, statistics, study their evolution, examine the history of thedevelopment of teaching materials selected text, drawing on previous valuable experience andlessons of history, put forward for future language teaching materials selected textrecommendations.Of the introduction of this article describes the need for three sets of language teachingmaterials of Chinese Modern and Contemporary selected text to the evolution of research, theresearch object, the definition of the concept of the theoretical basis of this topic and researchmethods.
