The Ethical Examination On The Collectivism Of The Competitive Sports

The collectivism of the competitive sports, which has become an excellent creativeculture after introducing, assimilating western culture, is formed by taking the Chinesetraditional cultural essence but discarding its dregs. Being as a moral principle of Chinesesports culture, is the key to the development of competitive sports as well as the soul andessence of Chinese sports.It will be hard to achieve great things if a person has no collective spirit; it will be in astate of disunity to an enterprise if there is no collective spirit; so it will be difficult to be astrong nation too if there is no collective spirit. However, with the establishment anddevelopment of market economy, the competitive sports gradually develop in a professional,commercialized way. This transformation of the system makes great impact on the people’soriginal ideology and values, which become pregnant hotbed of sports scandal for no correctcognition of these conflicts.This thesis uses the literature study, expert interviews and logic analysis, taking ethics,sports ethics theory as the basis, the typical cases in sports as material, and socialist corevalues as the breakthrough point, through the theoretical analysis of collectivism andspeculation of realistic problems. By combing it with the characteristics of the competitivesports, the definition of the competitive sports of collectivism has achieved, and its inherentmeaning, function and forms will be given a further detailed study in this thesis.Based on the literature and expert interview, this thesis mainly summarizes conflicts andcauses which competitive sports collectivism confronts with. Conflicts mainly includes:conflicts between individualism and collectivism; the traditional values and the modem values;diversified values and its sole values. Then three causes of its conflicts can be concluded: theinfluence of the market economy system; the penetration of Chinese and western values;Employees of professional morality.Owing to the rapid development of society, to cultivate a new type of collectivism timelywhich is in accordance with the development of society and the characteristics of thecompetitive sports has become an effective way. This paper proposes the ethical referenceswhich pave the basic way for providing correct and scientific theory. The principal ethicreferences include: the correct, scientific guiding principles, the principles people shouldadhere to; cultivation of the core content. The way to cultivate them includes: first, taking the belief education as an important step so as to strength the sports collective values; Second, toconstruct the effective incentive mechanism as fundamental guarantee to the implementationof collectivism. Finally, to practice spirit with the efforts to internalize the ways of the sportscollectivism cognitive into people own thought consciousness.This research is expected to help us to deal with and handle competitive sports in adialectical view, making efforts to control the negative influences for the transformation ofsociety and personal socialist values to a least scope. With purpose of making the true valuesof competitive sports serve the human beings and society, it is believed to create a harmonioussociety as its highest goal.
