| Higher vocational education has been being an important part of Higher Educationin China and being accepted by our society gradually which provides many applied talentwith vocational skills and cultural qualities for socialist market economy. And we havebeen realizing the importance of training vocational skills with strengthening culturalqualities as the development of higher vocational education. The development of culturalqualities had been emphasized on traditional undergraduate colleges and universities inChina from the1990s. For higher vocational education development started late andcultural qualities hasn’t been paid enough attention. There has been a bottleneck thatsome students lack cultural qualities, and their basic accomplishment and ability ofculture is low which is affecting the futures of the students after their graduation.Therefore, we should accord great importance to the cultural qualities education ofpresent vocational students, analyze the features, try some ways of developing andadvancing cultural qualities education and foster all-round development of high-qualitypersonnel.We analyze the characters and features of Vocational and Technological College,cultivating aim on the talented and defining the connotation of humanity-based qualityeducation. Humanity-based quality education is good for enhancing the comprehensivequality of students. According to the present situation of humanity-based qualityeducation in Vocational and Technological Colleges, some students are short ofhumanistic knowledge, human ability and humanistic spirit. Since there are some reasonsfor different understanding levels and education conceptions in Vocational andTechnological Colleges, Technology, but not humanity-based quality education has beenbeing paid much attention with some problems of lack of humanities and faculties and noteaching innovation which hinders teaching quality.In quality education, some Vocational and Technological Colleges have begun toattach more importance to humanistic management, humanistic knowledge andhumanistic condition to improve students’ humanity-based quality. There have been someinnovations of systematicness and hierarchies. Good humanistic condition should be established relating to reality according to different educational carrier. We can improvestudents’ humanistic quality together through compositive evaluation mechanism.Some edification has been found about cultural qualities education in highervocational education in this article via analysis of single cases in China and someexperiences of mature foreign higher vocational education. And some new ways ofinnovation and development of cultural qualities education in higher vocational collegesproposed with exploring suitable humanistic quality education methods. |
