Abstract/Summary:
The period of adolescence is a significant time of individuals changing and getting mature in life. It is of vital importance to self-awareness, recognizing and even the development of life of youth. The instability and variety of interpersonal communication, self-identification, emotion and behavior among youth become much obvious in this period. The positive culture workshop based on a brand new intervention model of theory and practice is quite a practical and effective way of helping them strengthen self-confidence and understand both themselves and others. It does meet the demand of both youth healthy growth and social work development as well. The rationale of this article is positive culture theory. It studied the case of "Happy Life Bar" youth group event and its result analysis through planning, game design and manner of social working. The research admits the positive meaning of positive culture workshop in strengthening self-knowledge and teamwork, developing positive subconscious and inspiring youth and agrees that positive culture workshop is the way of experiential group-type youth social work that could be widely used in practice. However, it still needs some further work because of the contradictions between its dependence on independent choice and the limited capacity of youth’s independent choice, and between the participation models of non problem-oriented and the diversification of service object.
