Chinese modern women’s school education appeared officially in lateQing Dynasty, the female school founded in1898Reform period. After theSino-Japanese War of1894-1895, reformers began to establish female school,opened a Chinese girl’s school gate running history. The late Qing DynastyWomen school appeared, with the modern national crisis deepening, theimpact of the Western concept of female education and the Women of theChurch of the stimulus, as well as advanced intellectuals called on schools forwomen, advocacy efforts of women’s rights.The Sino-Japanese War, China lost to Japan, part of advanced Chineserecognize soldiers fighting, in the final analysis, war is the competition fortalented people, not to learn warfare, saving the nation through educationaccepted by more people. They think women should accept education, put forward establish schools for women, that notonly can hope, but also can improve women s own quality, training as anunderstanding wife and loving mother, conducive to the family and theharmonious development of the society. In addition, they put education ideasinto practice, found Chinese women society and Chinese women Journal,initiate the first Chinese female school—Jingzheng women school.Late Qing period, the government promulgated a new academic structure.With the rise of government-run women education, women’s education hasbeen further developed. Girls’ schools promoted theadvanced women’s self-consciousness, formed in the early knowledge ofwomen groups, actively promoted the emancipation of women, trained agroup of talented women, and changed the social atmosphere.Today, we study late Qing Women education, should be inspired fromthe experience and lessons, thoroughly change the traditional concept of menare superior to women. We should correctly understand the gender equalityand the dangers of women do not learn, concern about girls’ schooling of thewestern underdeveloped region, narrow the geographical differences of thedevelopment of education and create better conditions for the development ofwomen’s education.
