Good mood is a measure of the importance of standards for individual mentalhealth. Learning to regulate and managing one′s emotion is an important conditionfor people to adapt to social. The deaf students using strategies to regulationemotion is good for their mental health. They can understand themselves correctly.They may establish harmonious relationships, and they also can develop goodsocial adaptation. We carried out the study of emotion regulation strategies ofdeaf.It help for deaf schools′education of mental health, and it help for deafstudents mastering skill of emotion regulation strategies. So, this study can enablethem to adapt and integrate into society effectively.One hundred and seventeen middle school students took part in our study.Fifty-five students came from7th,8th,9th grade of the deaf, and sixty-two studentscame from7th,8th,9th grade of the hearing. In this study, we used four stories withemotional themes to initiation the emotions of happy, angry, afraid and sad. Thepurpose of this study was to examine whether there were differences of thestrategies of emotion regulation between the deaf and the hearing students. Thestrategies included: Distraction-Avoidance; Cognitive Restructuring; SeekingSupport; Instrumental; Venting; Aggression.The findings showed:1. The deaf students and the hearing students used sixstrategies of emotion regulation were significantly different;2.The deaf malestudents and the deaf female students used strategies were significantly different,the hearing male students and the hearing female students used strategies were notdifferent;3.Different grade of deaf students and the hearing students usedstrategies for regulating emotion were significantly different.The resulting proposed education recommendations is to strengthen the languagepractice, to improve the language skills of deaf students; adjustment to deafawareness, to guide deaf students face up to reality; church of the deaf studentsreasonable regulation of emotions; great importance to create a harmoniousenvironment.
