Reform and opening up has been carried out in China since1980s. At the same time, market economy has been constructed, and the Household Contract Responsibility System has also been implemented in rural China. As a result, more and more surplus labors in rural have to move to city in order to make a living, which leads to the large-scale population movement from rural to urban. In the recent years, almost all the family members would be involved during the movement, including the husband, the wife and even the children. With this trend, the family patterns, family structure and family function have changed. As a consequence, the couple relationship has also changed. In this paper, a qualitative research method would be used to study the couple relationship of migrant family. And the factors which impact the couple relationship would be analyzed. In the course of the study, the author mainly uses structured interviews to gain insight into the current family relationship between husband and wife in the emotion, power, economic situation. The study found that the relationship between husband and wife in migrant family not only retain some traditional parts in the economy, power and emotional aspects, but also take some change. And income, household division of labor, kinship and personal character and ideas are the main factors affecting the relationship between husband and wife. The author hopes that this study can be helpful for the couple relationship of migrant family.
