With the deepening of education reform, the educational infrastructure has been continuously improved, teacher team construction effect is distinct, the quality of education has been continuously improved, compulsory education is an important part of the basic education. Among them, the professional development of teachers is the key to the balanced and good-guality development of compulsory education, rural middle school education in the Pearl River Delta Area lags behind the development of society and economy with schools suffering unknown difficulties and challenges. high quality students migrating to the city belongs to key schools and private schools, rural parents education quality is low, lack of family education methods, contradictory and outstanding, spoiling and demands to the child is low, cause children understanding deviation, lack of learning motivation; the school put much emphasis on performance, students’ learning pressure, weariness from Hong Kong and Macao serious; western culture effects of students’ aesthetic interest, and to abnormal development.To know more about teachers’ present professional development so as to promote teachers’development by making effective strategies, we made aresearch on teachers’present situation with Huangpu Town in Zhongshan City as an example, In the research, subjects like sex ratio, age group, years of teaching, educational structure are analysed, The research is presented in aspects of teachers’emotional value, professional abibity and environmental factors. The existing problems in teachers’professional development are revealed with their causes being analysed, inner and outside. In a word, strategies concerning teachers, schools and society will be adopted to promot teachers’professional development in rural middle schools in the Pearl River Delta Area.
