In recent years, the revolution from normal education to teacher education has been in actual practice. The education of teachers in China presents such development trends: the teachers are highly educated with their resources being multiform; the pre-training and the post-training integrate closely; and the teachers’group professionalizes. Traditional normal education system that is comparatively independent and close is transforming into an open, flexible and diverse modern teacher education system. Seeing that Normal Specialized Postsecondary College is an important part of China’s higher education system, the research on its transformation has great practical significance.This paper consists of five parts. The first part is the introduction part, mainly expounding the reasons for writing, the research mentality, the research methods and the research status. The second part analyzes the history of higher education, especially the education in Normal Specialized Postsecondary College, and then probes into its development tendency. By revealing the crisis in survival and development of Normal Specialized Postsecondary College, the third part discusses its development direction. Based on the lessons of the theoretical investigation on higher education, the fourth part attempts to explore and summarize the transforming strategy of Normal Specialized Postsecondary College prospectively. The fifth part makes a case study on a certain higher school in Shandong Province. In the light of the successful experience of Hunan First Normal College’s upgrade, this part aims at the school characteristics and advantages of the higher school, and then analyzes and researches on the strategy measures of its transformation.This paper not only analyzes the development paths and transforming problems of Normal Specialized Postsecondary College in new age, but also it tentatively provides relevant strategies and suggestions for the future strategic transformation of Normal Specialized Postsecondary Colleges in Shandong Province. |
