Since China began its social transformation, our traditional value standard and moral norm have lost their original function in the new field of social life because of the quick development of modernization and the influence of multi-value culture. Even we can not find any moral norm in some part of social life. The loss of morality and vulture make the conflict between person to person or society obviously. It is indisputable that the immoral events in the social occurred frequently and the people’s cognition to morality declined obviously. Moral education must undertake its social liability to solve the moral issues exhaustively because people get their moral attainments from school educations. Being one part of the social activities, moral education has been influenced by market directed by other elements, such as economy, politics, science and culture. It made the efficiency of moral education be queried. It is the question which cannot be avoided that how to made the moral education get out of the difficult position, which my analysis of the advantages and disadvantages of normative ethics and virtue ethics is based on.School is the right place where the social members receive systematic moral education and acquire knowledge about morality. This is a very important point of person’s acquirement of virtue. Although the school moral education is always being after the step of times, reforms the curriculums for morality and get such a lot of achievements. But it still remains on passing knowledge rather than developing virtue because of the influence of market economy and examination-oriented education. So students think that the value of morality is to make the person obey the rules. It makes the moral education become the normative education which ignored the construction of human being and makes the knowledgelization and externalization of moral education unavoidable. Whether the moral education can raise the virtue of person or just train the person need by politics is suspectable.That is decided by the characteristics of normative ethics.It is completely based on a reasonable philosophical theory whether the moral education foster the true man who owns the virtue. Unlike the normative ethics, the judgment of good or not in virtue ethics is the virtue. Virtue ethics pay more attention to the choice of moral trait and emphasize the stabilization of the function of morality on person. Virtue makes the standard of the value in moral education permanent and stable. The protracted convictions for moral makes the person turn the knowledge about morality into action by facing the conflicts and choices and makes person persist in his mind even they are being treated unfairly. Virtue is the breakthrough point of stopping the declining of people’s qualities and the reducing of the standard for morality in the social.We can learn the goal of moral education is to make a person a real man at heart. Moral education provides the students a stimulant social life in which they can resist their ill desires by observing, learning and practicing. At the beginning, students are restrained by the rules. At last, students change the rules into their morality indeed. All these good qualities in morality impel us to be a sociological man from a biological man. The sociological characteristics are the fundamental features of human being. So, the definition of good and evil and the elaboration of virtue’s development in virtue ethics meets the intentions of training and cultivating person. By putting forward a proposal for being after virtue and reconstructing the moral principles, this paper intends to solve the low-effective condition of moral education in a theoretical way.
