The college students are facing more and more severe challenges, some students were overwhelmed and fell into the psychological crisis, which caused bad consequences. So strengthening the early-warning research of the college students’ psychological crisis has the important practical significance. The theoretical study which the combination psychology with the structure equation model and the latent variable effect analysis has got the progress, but it still lacks of the empirical study in the early-warning and assessment of psychological crisis. Therefore the effect analysis of the factors that affect the psychological crisis has the important scientific significance.The study analyzes the cause, characteristics, and possible consequences of the college students’psychological crisis, elaborates the necessity of the early-warning of college students’psychological crisis from the three aspects; summarizes the modeling principle of the latent variable interaction effect; put forward the early-warning indicator system based on the previous studies; establishes a structural equation model with the interaction, explores the path relationship between the factors that could cause the psychological crisis and the psychological crisis, makes the analysis for the interaction between factors; details the six steps to build the psychological crisis mechanism, calculates the weight of each index by the path coefficients, and obtains a total score of college students’mental health, makes the assessment on the extent of the students’crisis state based on the mental health score, according to the result of the early-warning, takes different interventions in different extent and state of students’psychological crisis.The empirical study shows that there is the interaction between the stress source and the coping style which could affect mental health. The result of interaction is not simply equal to the superposition of the effect caused by the single factor, in most cases, it is greater than or less than the superposition of the effect caused by the single factor. Coping style plays an essential regulatory role between stress source and mental health. Different coping styles will bring individual different stress sensation when facing the same extent of stress. Mental health educator should pay more attention to the training of college students" mature coping style, and avoid the hazard that the immature coping style on the college students’mental health.
