The Study On Contemporary Northwest Rural Economic Elite Formation Condition And Mode

The contemporary China is going through rapid socialtransformation, the transform of institutionalized way of resourcesallocation urges to accelerate the structural differentiation of the ruralsociety. It has important social causes of rural economic elites’development which as an important force in rural society. This thesisfrom the perspective of the theory of capital, through the research on therelationship between the northwest rural economic elite and politicalbenefits、economic capital、human capital in order to analyze theformation conditions of rural economic elite, further more, it research itsformation model to advance the original study and to provide referencesuggestions on the reform of the rural.The essay takes S city of Gansu Province town of X as a case,exploiting the way of depth interview to carry out qualitative research. Itanalyzes the formation conditions of rural economic elite and how theystrategy to apply political benefits、economic capital、human capital andother capitals to prompt the reciprocal transformation among thesecapitals in order to impulse them to promote the development ofthemselves by means of the effective release of rural elite force.By way of studying the development process of the northwest ruraleconomic elite, the essay summarize four types of formation models ofthe group: the individual growth model、family growth model、policysupport mode. The individual growth mode represents mainly by meansof human capital to become the rural economic elite; family growthmodel represents mainly by means of family relationship to become therural economic elite; policy support mode represents mainly by means ofpolitical benefits to become the rural economic elite. According to theempirical data and related sociological theory, this thesis theoreticallysummarized of the three kinds of modes. In can be seen from the study ofthe formation conditions of rural economic elite formation models that social capital share and mutual conversion among these capitals are vitalfor the formation of the rural economic elite. The cultivation of differentpatterns of elite is under the condition of obtaining specific capital. Onlypossessing the corresponding capital could the rural characters flow to theelite class. Therefore, the establishment of scientific elite incentivemechanism and flow mechanism from the system level are key of thegrowth of promoting rural economic elite and all of the elite, are the basicconditions of comprehensive and harmonious development of the ruralsociety.
