Since the1990’s, Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) has been the researchfocus of learning environment in the field of Educational Technology. But the one thing thatcertain, is to set up your side learning environment, is the personal learningenvironments.Since the concept spread of PLEs in2004(hereinafter referred to as: PLEs),PLEs related research in China, it is still in the initial stage of exploration, themaneuverability of the theoretical model and application practice rarely, andimmaturity. ased on the above all consider, in addition to the increasing tendencyinfluence of Ecology wave to Educational research (PLEs is a piece of it), the authorchose this topic.The paper on the basis of carefully reading a number of the theory works andjournals, fully absorbing others about learning environment and PLEs research results,after a detailed discussion of the research background, revelant definitions andtheoretical foundations, in the perspective of Ecology, according to the topic, theauthor carried out the following research work.Firstly, the paper analyize the appropriation that ecology can be used in the construction research of PLEs, that is why we can do this research in the perspectiveof ecology, and find out the reason for reference.Secondly, through the analysis of the factors of PLEs and functional featureselaborated, and picking up of core concepts and basic principles in ecology, we sumup the useful learning metaphor to construction of PLEs in ecology view.Addtionally, starting from the learning metaphor, analyzing the process of PLEsconstruction, we explore the basic principles, theoretical model, and main forms ofPLEs construction, and put forward the corresponding specific construction strategies.At last, selecting the right PLEs construction case, on the basis of his depthinterview and learning tracking, we sort out the successful learning experience in hislearning, so as to examine the effectiveness and rationality of PLEs constructionmodel and specific strategies...
