Personal Learning Environment (PLE) Inquiry. Web Era

With the computer network technology and multimedia technologies'development, the learning environment research has experienced from LMS to CMS, and then VLE. With the popularity of social software, informal learning, communities of practice, the focus of the learning environment transfer from VLE to PLE. Personal learning environment (PLE) can satisfy personalized study interest and the demand, meets the develop of the time, and can deepen the development of educational technique theory. Research by experts and scholars focused on the following aspects,the significance of constructing PLE,the model of constructing,the future development of PLE,and the building of PLE used social software. This paper argues that the building of PLE need to the integration of the distributed web services, thus forming an integrated personal service learning environment.In addition, it's necessary to introduce management by objectives in the process of building personal learning environment, MBO can help learners identify their learning goals, and can manages individual study content and the process based on learning objectives through communication, learning and so on, so better able to help learners control and manage their learning more conducive to improving the learning efficiency.This study from the concept of personal learning environment, under the guidance of the Constructivism learning theory and the multi-dimensional intelligent theory and so on, put forward informal learning environment (PLE) conceptual framework in the network, and summarize the part of the function framework of PLE based on the in-depth study of the conceptual framework. Association with the development of the web technology, with the help of the concept frame and the function frame of PLE in informal learning based on web, this paper divides into the way of the construction of PLE four difference ways. In the process of the construction of PLE, the paper elaborated on how the learner does carry on individual knowledge management, the self-guidance, the study appraisal and so on, thus carries on the study for the learner better use individual learning environment to provide the instruction. Under the support of PLE, the learner can carry on individual knowledge independently the gain, self-guidance, and carry on communication and cooperation or the seek help solves the problem in study, these can provide the related support or the help for learner's study lifelong, gradually can promote learner's individual development.
