Economic globalization is sweeping every field of the society, leading worldwide political, economic, cultural and other aspects of blending and stirring. This situation not only changed the world mode of production and the pattern of interests profoundly, but also formed a multicultural field at the same time because of the cultural exchanges, confounding and collision from different countries, ethnic, geographical. In this multi-cultural field, on one hand the multicultural promoted worldwide different ideological and cultural exchange and collision, making people’s cultural vision is more open and be more widely available to absorb the outstanding cultural achievements of mankind; on the other hand, cultural diversity posing pluralistic values’ conflicts and collisions in different areas and different dimensions That profoundly changed the original ideas, ways of life and value system of the people form different regions and bring a lot of problems. In the multi-cultural field, diverse of culture also influences people’Chinese national identity, especially for the college students of the contemporary who are immaturity in mental and physiological. There are some hitherto unknown new problems about national identity, so it is necessary to study the current status of College Students’ national identity and proposes the specific measures to improve their Chinese national identity.This article is to study the "Chinese national identity" of the national identity, drawing lessons on national (ethnic) identity theory of sociological and psychology and to study college students’ national identity and education on Chinese national identity using of text analysis, comparison analysis and the method of linking theory with practice. This paper includes five parts. The first part is the introduction, including the problem, domestic and abroad issues in current research and literature review about Chinese national identity, the innovation of research and research significance; The second part is mainly on the deep discuss connotation, essence, forming factors and the value and characteristics of the Chinese national identity; The third part includes in-depth analysis of the cultural field of contemporary college students’national identity problem as well as its will harm; In the fourth part, the author puts forward that we must carry out education to strengthen college students’ national identity, and expounds the contemporary college students’ national identity education content and inner link; In the fifth part, the author raised theoretical ideas we should innovate on the college students’ national identity education in multicultural field, it includes the Chinese national identity education principle, enhance the Chinese national identity education goal, the development of Chinese national identity education resources and the improvement of national identity education method four aspects put forward the countermeasures, in order to strengthen contemporary college students Chinese national identity.
