The background, significance, research methods and main contents of this study were discussed, meanwhile, the present research in both at home and abroad was reviewed. The rapid development of urbanization is positively related with migration movement, while the increase of rural migrant workers is its important manifestation. The education of their children has been a high concern for Chinese government. From the country to the city, the students from the transient population have many inadaptations in study, especially for developing studying habit. Therefore, the author tried to explore in the way of practice in this article.Chapter one, content and features of primary school students in transient population were reviewed, aiming to provide environment factors for discussing the studying habit of primary school students in transient population, so as to provide the basis for researching their studying habit development. The concept, content and features etc, are important formations of the thought. The definition of concept, content and features is a prerequisite for human thinking, which is also the basis and premise for study. Studying habit is formed and developed by repetition in the process of studying, thus becoming an essential auto-studying behavior, which is divided into general studying habit and developing studying habit. In this article, the author discussed studying habit development of primary school students in transient population, which have characteristics of unstability, inside to outside and long-term.Chapter two, we carried out profound research on the current situation and problems of the study habit of the migrant population’s children in the elementary school according to three levels:low, middle and high level. The study habit of the children of the low level migrant population is mainly a lack of activity, and the study habit of the children of the middle and high level migrant population is mainly a lack of exploration. As a whole, for both the children of the low level and middle and high level migrant population, their self-learning capability and ability to do homework, listen to lectures and discuss, etc, need to be improved.Chapter three, through discussion and research on the above problems, we put forward corresponding solutions in terms of such four aspects as government, school, teacher and student, namely, the measure to cultivate the good study habit of the migrant population’s children in the elementary school.
