The most important tasks of the English curriculum in compulsory educationphase are stimulating and cultivating learning interest for English, making studentsfeel confident, forming good studying habit and effective learning strategy,developing self-learning ability and cooperative spirit. In a word, the overall goals ofprimary English teaching are interest, confidence and achievement.Story teaching is important in primary English teaching. But during my Teachingobservation and interviews with teachers, I found how teachers handled with the storytime part were not equal with the recognition of story teaching in the EnglishCurriculum Standard. After my further observation for story teaching, I found that,due to lacking deep guide for students and the number of one-sided pursuit ofinteraction with students, thus class interaction showed oneness, formalization andinequality. According to analysis of related literature, I fixed on three dimensionalitiesfor studying class interaction: mind, behavior and emotions, and based on five levelscurriculum content and learning activity design and IRF interaction mode, Iconstructed the primary English story teaching mode for accelerating class interaction.And then combined with the specific class teaching design, I put it into practice.Analysis showed that class interaction tended to real, effective, and students’enthusiasm in learning English improved, classroom learning atmosphere improved,and the learning effect became obvious better.
