In today’s society, cultivate students’ autonomy is a fundamental task foreducation workers, and the use of metacognition is not only a bridge which can leadto the independent study,but also the effective method to achieve the independentlearning. However, many studies showed that the level of juniors’ metacognition isgenerally very low in China. Therefore, to improve the ability of students’metacognition is a urgently problem which education workers to solve.The problem is the heart of mathematics, solving a math problem is a kind ofcreative and complex psychological activities, and successfully solving a problem relyon the ability of good cognitive and metacognition. Therefore, how to enhance theability of students’ metacognition in the process of solving math problems is a veryworth of research.Firstly,this paper summarize studies about the metacognition at home andabroad.secondly, we choosed three students as the research objects through theobservation and interview in the first grade in a middle school.By individual guidanceand tracking training, we used pre-test rand post-test results to show the rationalityand validity of the training methods. Finally, through the analysis of case information,we found that these methods as think-aloud protocols for students to specific trainingcan improve their metacognitive ability, and cultivate their initiative, and makesome suggestions based on it.
