Culture is the concentrated reflection of people’s values and behavioral pattern.Behind the various phenomena, the deepest impact factor is culture. At present, as thefocus of the construction of school culture, many scholars and experts have paid moreattention to teacher culture. The new curriculum reform, the construction of studentculture, teacher professional development, the change of school culture and socialculture all show the value of the teacher culture. This research selected a weak schoolwhich is in transformation as the research object, attempted to analyze the teacherculture’s present situation and influential factors of the case school in transformation,and put forward some pointed suggestions to the development of the case school’steacher culture.The study adopt the qualitative research paradigm, choosing a genuine weakschool Y for a case. Made in-depth observations in the school, interviewed with partof the teachers, and collected all kinds of related material. We found, Y school’steacher culture has many problems in transition, including the lag behind of culturedevelopment, the conflict between the new and the old culture, the appeal of newculture’s generation. This research is divided into six chapters:Chapter1, introduction. This chapter mainly put forward the question, theprocess of the question statement also explains the purpose and meaning of the study.Chapter2, literature review. Comb out the related research at home and abroadfor the present, and think about the problem of the existing research, to buildtheoretical basis for the development of the study.Chapter3, research design. This chapter mainly defined the key concepts,teacher culture and weak school, and explicited the question ulteriorly, constructed thebasic framework of the study, and introduced the method of the study in detail.Chapter4, the analyses of teacher culture status of weak school in transformation.Take a nine-year education school(Y school) which belongs to east lake area ofNanchang City as a case, make qualitative analysis on the teacher culture’s currentsituation from teacher structure, teacher learning culture, teacher communicationalculture, teacher managemental culture and teacher leisure culture.Chapter5, cause analysis. From the teacher oneself and external environmenttwo aspects to analyze the influence factors of this school’s teacher culture status deeply, of which the external environment including school environment and socialenvironment two aspects.Chapter6, conclusions and recommendations. This chapter comprehensivesummarized this paper, think about the basic way of teacher culture development, thevalue and the general meaning of the study, and put forward some suggestions to thefuture development of Y school’s teacher culture.
