| Currently, our country is vigorously promoting the construction of innovation-oriented country and improving the students’ overall quality. One of the key points of improving the students’ overall quality is how to enhance the students’ psychological quality, which is the hot spot of current school education.Nowadays, the urban primary school students have few frustration experiences, who live in the "love wrapped" surroundings, have no material deprivation troubles and live a "food to mouth, clothes to hand" life. On the other hand they have few senses of accomplishments and even bear psychological pressures from specialty grade exams, Olympic competitions, Huasy and entering into elite schools arranged by their parents. These cause the feelings of anxiety, tension and helpless. Some students are tired of studies and even their own lives. From this view point, frustration education is necessary for the developments of the primary school students. But, the questions are how to carry out the frustration education and what are the effects of frustration education in urban primary schools? The research purpose of this paper is to explore effective frustration education strategies for other primary schools based on the studies of present situations of frustration education in three primary schools (an elite school, a common urban school and a school in Suburbs) in Chengdu. It is shown that the setback cognitive, setbacks experience and frustration coping differ in different ages. At the same time, the frustration educations differ in the three schools, due to the radical educators, scattered contents, simplified methods and non-applicable strategy.Basing on the features of primary school education in urban areas, focusing on the needs of lives and developments of primary school students, this paper presents the frustration education strategies by following the law of developments of their physical and psychological developments. The strategies not only help them to realize psychological setbacks, but help them to alleviate psychological pressure, to explore their physical potential, to promote their personality development. The frustration education strategies are as follows, strengthening the education management system to value of the frustration education, building of open content to form their setback cognitive, improving the educational environment to deepen the students’ frustration experience, improving the evaluation mechanism to promote students’ positive response to setbacks and returning to the rational education. |
