As the reforms and developments in the employment system of secondary vocational schools in China, students’choices and comments on employments seem to be more complicated and flexible.At a time of quickening competition, the employment situation is getting more serious. Therefore, directing and guiding them to set up correct employment notions are especially important. On the basis of the research on the employment notions of the students in Luoding Secondary Vocational School, this paper analyzes the contributing factors of the formation of students’employment notions, summarizes the characters and puts forward some advices and countermeasures to the cultivation of secondary vocational school students and the employment guidance.Through the research and study, this paper finds the most obvious problems on students’employment notions are as followed:small employability but high expectation; incorrect mental demand and insufficient initiative; more and more utilitarian in the value of their employments. The study shows that these problems are related to students, social environment, school education, and family education. In view of the problems on the students’ employment notions and causes, this paper puts forward some advices on cultivating the correct employment notions, including:emphasizing the leading status of students, creating social environment for the employment, enhancing the dominant function of the school, and relying on the help from their families.
