Since1999, China’s postgraduate education has entered a rapid development period after the Colleges and universities enrollment expansion. The number of graduated female postgraduates also increased year by year, and the employment situation has changed greatly. The employment problems of female postgraduates are becoming severe in our country. With the continuous development of society, the female postgraduates’ employment problems are not only confined in the employment difficult, but also involve the employment-related aspects.In view of above reason, bases on the previous researches, this study mainly use empirical research method, and the female postgraduates’ employment conditions as the research object. Through questionnaires, the author sample surveyed11professional categories of postgraduates at32universities in China’s eastern, central and western regions, and interviewed some female postgraduates and employers. Based on the statistics of questionnaire, the author compared with male and female master graduate students’ employment view, the employment preparation, the employment experience and the employment result, at the same time, combined the interview material and literature material, the author discovered that there are some problems in female postgraduate student’s employment:the labor market is not perfect, the employment situation of female graduate students increasingly serious; the employment of structural contradictions highlight; the employment gender discrimination phenomenon is common; the field of employment is relatively narrow; employment expectations unreasonable, there is selective unemployment; career planning awareness is weak; existence hidden unemployment phenomenon.Subsequently, combined with the conclusions of the empirical research and theoretical analysis, the author deeply analyzed the influencing factors about the employment of female postgraduates laid on the basis of labor market segmentation theory, gender theory, statistical discrimination theory, social capital theory and so on. While the issue of female postgraduates is a system engineering, which need the government, society, universities and female postgraduates work together to solve it. Therefore, in the end of the thesis, the author proposed some targeted solutions according to the influencing factors about the female postgraduate’s employment problem:increase employment opportunities, alleviate the employment pressure on female postgraduates; consummate the labor market; eliminate gender discrimination, construct a gender-equal society; improve the quality of female postgraduates, enhance their employability and competitiveness. Hoping to provide little help to solve the female postgraduates’employment problems.
