College Students' Education Of Non-traditional Security Research Under The National Security Perspective

National security refers to an objective state which means a nation is free from not only external menace and constraint but also internal chaos. The modern concept of national security is comprehensive. It includes state sovereignty and security, integrated security and cooperative security. Non-traditional security is the international hot point which emerges recently. It’s mainly about the factors that threaten the survival and development of the whole nation and human being. Such factors do not include the martial course, political course and diplomatic conflict. The modern college students have active thought. They can make good understandings to non-traditional security and the social condition home and aboard. And all these indicate their abilities of solving their own difficulties, cooperating government to resolve the crisis and comprehensive quality. So to enhance the non-traditional security education of university students is the very vital content in National Defense Education. It is also the basic demand of coping national security situation in modern times.This paper emphasizes the four aspects:Firstly, the overview of non-traditional security. In this part, the concept, connotation, category and characteristic of NTS will be analyzed. This part puts emphasis on the importance of NTS in education.Secondly, the state of contemporary college students’cognition of NTS. This research chose three representative universities which located in Chang Sha, Xiang Tan and Yong Zhou as examples, and did an investigation about the NTS awareness of college students from the perspective of national security. According to the investigation, it is clear that contemporary college students can recognize the significance of NTS and national security. But they do not come into contact with the affairs which coursed by NTS. Moreover, colleges do not pay enough attention to the education of NTS, it leads our students can not recognize NTS clearly even falsely.Thirdly, on the reasons of influencing students’recognition degree, some contemporary college students can realize and judge the importance of NTS well, But some do not even wrench NTS. Generally speaking, there is imbalance between students’recognition to NTS. This research analyzed the reasons which course such phenomenon by taking social environment, school education and individual student these three factors into consideration.Fourthly, on the countermeasures for strengthening the NTS education of contemporary college students. This research exposits the aims of the NTS education, points that the NTS education of college students should carry out the following principles:integrity, flexibility, longevity and practicality. Furthermore, this study proposes the countermeasures for strengthening the NTS education of contemporary college students by connecting the practical situation of universities.
