The Sixteenth National Congress of the Communist Party of China points out that it is necessary to establish a socialist ideological and ethical system compatible with the socialist market economy and the socialist legal standard and consistent with the traditional virtues of the Chinese nation…especially intensify the ideological and ethical improvement among youth so as to guide people in their pursuit of higher ideological and ethical standards on the basis of observing the basic code of conduct. The Seventeenth National Congress of the Communist Party of China holds that we must implement the Party’s educational policy to the letter, focus on educating students with top priority given to cultivating their moral integrity, improve their overall quality, modernize the educational system, and train socialist builders and successors who have all-round attainments in moral,intellectual, physical and aesthetic education. All this is designed to run education to the satisfaction of the people. We should attach great importance to the education of the next generation and improve their ideological and ethical quality, because it is our Party’s fine tradition and the important guarantee that the next generation will succeed to our Party and country’s courses.The youth are the hope of the whole country and nation. They are most vigorous and creative, and are most likely to accept fresh things in this society. The present state of youth’s ideology and ethic will be directly related with the overall quality of Chinese nation and the course of building a harmonious society. Also, it possesses special and significant meaning to our Party and people’s courses and security. Therefore, our Party and government have always put youth’s ideological and ethical education in the first place. Junior middle school students are a special group among youth. They are experiencing a period from vague ideology to intense ideology, so the ethical education of this group is especially important.This thesis mainly aims to investigate and study the present state of the ethical education of junior middle school students in Hua Rong county. In order to probe into some strategies, suggestions and methods for intensifying and developing the ethical education of junior middle school students, the thesis analyzes junior middle school students, teachers and parents from two aspects. One is the cognition degree of the ethical education, another is the two kinds of division for the ethical education.
