| With the further evolvement of new curriculum innovation, a new teaching reform which aims at enhancing class teaching effects, focusing on constructing an independent, mutual aid and learning class teaching mode, has been carried out all around China. Based on the background, the paper mainly studies the practices and applications of cooperative learning in English writing class of Grade3in Senior high school.Cooperative learning, appearing in1970s, is one of the teaching strategies advocated in the teaching reform. Cooperative learning gained its prosperity and outcomes in the mid1970s and1980s. It is an effective and creative teaching theory and strategy and has been regarded as one of the mainstream teaching theories and strategies in contemporary society.Based on the theories concerning cooperative learning, the author conducts relevant experiments in terms of the psychological features of Grade3students in senior high school and the current situation of English writing class. The following questions are mainly studied:1. Whether can teachers improve students’writing proficiency with the guidance of the cooperative learning theory?2. How can the design be performed to improve students’writing skills with time limit?3. Can the design arouse students’interests and enthusiasm in improving English writing skills?The paper consists of5parts. Chapter1introduces the background and significance of the research; Chapter2is the theoretical basis of cooperative learning and the feasibility of the research; Chapter3is the methodology in which the author offers the research subject, the instrument, the procedure and the application of cooperative learning in English writing class; Chapter4is the data analysis and discussion trying to confirm the points mentioned in the former chapters; Chapter5involves the major findings, limitation of the research and some implications for further research.By the study on the120students in class22and28, Grade3from Benxi County Senior High School, the author spends1semester to collect relevant information and data from the pre-test and post-test, questionnaires, and interviews. Through the analysis of spss19.0, the author comes to the conclusion that cooperative learning in English writing class has effective influence on students’learning attitude and writing abilities, meanwhile, it also has a good impact on students’teamwork spirit and friendship. |
