Zhongding, a small frontier village in Bingzhongluo township of Gongshan County, Nujiang Prefecture, Yunnan Province, where lives eight minorities such as Nu, Tibetan, Lisu, Dulong, Bai and Han peoples, etc, and the beliefs of primitive religion,Tibetan Buddhism, Christianity, and Catholic coexisted in there. Zhongding village did not appear on the gaps between ethnic and religious mutually exclusive although Multi-ethnic and multi-religious coexistence. On the contrary, the individual members of different ethnic groups live in the harmony and exchange frequently, different religions coexist in tolerantly. Found through a better understanding, the initial encounter between different ethnic groups and different cultures in Zhongding village have experienced a variety of conflict, they have had a variety of support forces behind, and the coexistences of multi-ethnic multi-religious tolerance today is formed step by step. Economic factors throughout the whole course of their interaction from the beginning to the end, culture and system choice also plays an important role, the support factors behind different cultures affect the way of ethnic groups interactions to a certain extent.This paper takes Zhongding village as the main focus and takes Nu, Tibetan, Lisu peoples as the research object, who living their early life in Zhongding village. Through the analysis of the interaction ways among them and its affecting factors, this paper tries to provide a reference for the ethnic work and the economic development of China’s minorities. In theory, this paper uses facts to respond Culture Relativism and Ethnic Boundary Theory, which provide us with a certain practical value but whose application scope will be limited in the new environment. It can be seen through this study that the ethnics existed as a tool of resources game and a tool of social mobilization. The boundaries of ethnics is not fixed and static, it will change with the change of different scenarios and the interests of the individual members facing. Different ethnics and different cultures are not antagonistic, keeping their own culture characteristics does not mean the exclusion of other cultures, multicultural can coexist and become a shared regional culture. In the content of the study, the introduction mainly analyzes the reason of choosing this topic, the concept related to this paper, study status quo at home and abroad, and the basic situation of the selected village; the second part combs the origin of all minorities and their relations in history, analyzing the reasons why such relations formed, examining the facts that the ethnics existences as a tool of resources game and a tool of social mobilization and the ethnics boundaries changing with the scenes and interests; the third part studies the daily life interaction among minorities from their production and living, language use, international marriage, festival of life, religious beliefs, and their interaction with the development of the tourism, etc, complemented by case materials; the forth part of the paper based on the first three parts, exploring the reason of promoting multi-ethnics and various religious beliefs live in a harmony in Zhongding village, using actual facts thinking about the theory of Culture Relativism and Ethnic Boundary Theory; the last part is the conclusion, it is a brief summary of this study.
