| Presently, because the manufacture industry of our country is in the transition phase fromlabor intensive to technology intensive, the demand of the artificer is very hot. Then, thehigher requirements have been put forward to vocational education. In order to adapt the newcircumstance and improve the quality of the manufacture vocational education, the vocationalalility should be taken as the standard. The competency theory is an effective method to judgethe vocational ability, so a practical teaching system of manufacturing major vocationaleducation based on the competency was constructed in this paper. The main work in thispaper is summarized as:A competency evaluating system of the manufacturing industry artificer was establishedadopting the active event visiting method, which included five second-level components(viz.knowledge, skill, ability, personality and motivation) and sixteen third-levelcomponents.It was shown according the result of integrality that the vocational alibility of themanufacturing industry artificer could be reflected effectively using the evaluating system. Acompetency evaluating proportion system was established using the questionnaireinvestigating method, and a competency compositive estimating method was proposed.The competency of the manufacturing major graduates of the vocational school in Yantaiwas investigated using the competency model. It was shown that their average competency isat ecumenic level. The practical teaching system of the vocational school in Yantai wereinvestigated, it was shown that every part of the practical teaching system, especially thecontent system, could not suit the training demand of high diathesis artificer.The target system, content system, management system and supporting system wereconstructed referring to the competency model. According the components of the competencymodel, the engineering concept practice was intercalated creatively to bring up the personalityand motivation of the students. The theory plus practice synthetical course was intercalated,then the understanding of the theory was enhanced, the applying alibility of the theory wasimproved, the knowledge and the ability of the student were brought up. The non-specialtypractice was intercalated to bring up the personality and motivation of the students. To adaptthe development of technology and ehance the continuable growing ability of the students, themodest-leading practice was intercalated. To improve the vocational diathesis of the students,the “artificer†culture was intercalated creatively in the supporting system. |
