Objective:To understand the medical undergraduates’awareness of AIDS related knowledge, analyze the medical students’discrimination to HIV patients and the detection will, and explore the influencing factors of HIV detection willingness, to provide background material for further AIDS comprehensive prevention, to provide the reference for more effective AIDS health education and intervention measures.Materials and Methods:Using stratified random cluster sampling method, extract Tianjin medical university students of altogether10professional students, for example, school of nursing, school of medical imaging, school of public health.and so on. The medical students include freshman, sophomore, junior and senior, for a total of997people. Carry out questionnaire survey by anonymous way. and withdraw the questionnaire on the spot. The content includes general demographic data:gender, age, nationality, grade, professional, length of schooling and family income per month; AIDS related knowledge:including general knowledge, the route of transmission, prevention knowledge, total of12problems. The discrimination of AIDS:mind if social contact with AIDS infected persons and sharing of medical facilities.24problems totally; willingness to participate in AIDS testing:willingness to participate in testing, whether the infection should be informed of the people around,6problems totally. All survey data entry in Excel, described and analyzed using SPSS15.0statistical software. Analyze the awareness of survey objects for AIDS knowledge, calculate awareness pointing gender, monthly family per capita income, grade respectively, and use a chi-square test on the comparison of the awareness. Conduct statistical description of AIDS discrimination part of24problems according to discriminatory answer, non-discriminatory answer, uncertainty3categories. Using logistic regression analyze influence factors of HIV test will, willingness to participate in HIV testing as the dependent variable, gender, age. nationality, grade, professional, family month per capita income, AIDS knowledge score, AIDS score of discrimination as independent variables.Results:Distributed997questionnaires were to recover the997copies of questionnaires, of which986were valid questionnaires, questionnaire effective rate was98.9%.Survey of students age (21.928±1.302) and the youngest19years old. maximum26years. In the investigation of the12AIDS knowledge, awareness of8problems were more than90%. Problems of relatively low awareness and awareness:75.6%of persons know "from the outside can not judge a person infected with HIV. 84.1%of persons know "if mother is HIV infected, breastfeeding can spread to babies,"84.9%of persons know "keep a non-HIV-infected sexual partners can reduce the risk of spreading AIDS", only60.2%of persons know "mosquito does not spread HIV". The awareness of men to " pregnant women infected with HIV can transmite to her child" and " children born to HIV-infected women may develop AIDS" were higher than women(P<0.05). The awareness of survey objects of family month per capita income less than3000yuan,3000-4999yuan,5000-7999yuan, more than8000yuan for "pregnant women infected with HIV can transmite to her child","shaking hands and hugging with people infected with HIV can not spread AIDS" was statistically significant different(P<0.05). The awareness of freshman, sophomore, junior and senior grade for some problems was statistically significant different (P<0.05). The most serious discriminatory attitudes on AIDS were as follows:75.1%of persons think that "HIV-infected people due to sexual promiscuity were not worthy of sympathy".68.9%of persons think that" HIV-infected health care workers should not be allowed to continue to work".68.8%of persons think that" HIV-infected people due to drug were not worthy of sympathy ".6.19%of respondents believed that themselves likely to be infected with HIV. and82.76%of people were willing to participate in free HIV testing. If infected with AIDS.23.23%think that it is necessary to conceal people around them.If you want others to disclose,82.45%will tell their parents, brothers, sisters;93.41%will tell a spouse, sexual partners; and50.71%will tell friends. Logistic regression analysis showed the AIDS knowledge score, AIDS discrimination score into the model (P<0.05). The odds ratio of AIDS knowledge score was2.717(95%C7:1.695-4.357), and the odds ratio of AIDS discrimination score was0.601(95%CI:0.46-0.785).Conclusions:Medical students’ awareness of AIDS knowledge was generally high, but there were serious discrimination attitude to AIDS. Master AIDS related knowledge of prevention and control, establish the correct attitude to AIDS, which will help him/her to participate in voluntary consultation detection.
