The mobile phones are more and more essential as the learning tools in the information-age. It is due to low prices, high penetration, easy portability and other features that students can learn anytime, anywhere, across time and space constraints. Naturally, the mobile phone becomes the first choice and the new favorite of mobile learning devices. Indeed, as everybody visionary experts predicted, learning to be lead by phone will refresh the theory and practice of distance education research. This paper takes middle-school students for the research object to explore the status of mobile learning problems and the pertinence of study measures.This paper’s research methods are literature method, comparison method, questionnaires investigation method. It is thronging the investigation to understand the status of students learning by phone in the rural middle-school. Furthermore, it is to know the phone features and usage, the phone used in learning, phone learning effectiveness and impact of phone learning factors. For the survey results and analysis in this paper which are able to tell the main problems of students in the process of phone learning. The main problems are including the understanding of phone learning, Information literacy, learning resources issues. The author try to make recommendations which bases on the main problems in order to be able to better promote the conduct of conduct of students phone learning. So the important things are management of phone learning, students’ self-management, design and management of learning resources.
