A Research On The Cultivation Of College Students’ Legal Quality

The report of the Seventeenth Congress of the Communist Partyputs forward clearly that we will fully implement the basic strategy ofgoverning the country according to law, and accelerate the process to asocialist country ruled by law. However, the premise is that we have aimproved socialist legal system and many citizens with a high legal quality.The college students are the elites of our country, who should have the legalquality, that’s because the development of themselves are deeply affected bythe legal quality, and at the same time it will take a big effect on the peoplearound them. To be more important, the situation of college students’ legalquality is a critical standard whether our country is achieving the target ofbeing a socialist country ruled by law. The high schools, which are theprimary place of the college students’ daily life and learning, should be themain position of cultivating and improving the college students’ legal quality,so it is necessary for the high schools to pool of the resources to cultivate thelegal quality of the college students.On the quality education theory as the instruction,this passage mainlydiscusses the definition and meanings, the transverse components, thelongitudinal elements and the features of the high college students’ legalquality via the science of psychology,law and a lot of Previous literatures;Through the questionnaire and analysis, this passage discusses the situationand the factors that affect the college students’ legal quality; then putsforward the effective measures of cultivating and improving the collegestudents’ legal quality from the angle of legal education in Colleges andUniversities. The author agrees that, the legal quality is affected by the legalcircumstance and legal education of a nation, and finally formed by theconstant learning and practices in the later days, the legal quality includesthree aspects: legal consciousness, legal knowledge and legal ability. In theprevious researches, most scholars only focus on the transverse component of the college students’ legal quality, hardly analysis the vertical development.The author also agrees that, the legal quality is under the course fromintermediate stage to advanced stage, and the legal quality is wholly showingdifferent stage s among college students in different grades. Because of that,in the light of college students in different grades, this passage will putforward specific and operable training countermeasures which include fiveaspects:ideas,targets,contents,ways and circumstance provided by the highschools.
