| Entering the21st century, children’s picture book have received much attention from a number of fields, and starting an upsurge of picture book. But in this context, people do be lack of a correct and depth understanding of the local ones’ history, and full of impressionistic mistaken on them. The local picture books are not only identified as an exotic, and even their development in the current still be mistaken for its infancy that’s so-called ’embryonic period’. In this research, we’ll began with the history of local picture books,and outcome the reveal the truth of Chinese picture books in the maximum extent by sorting out and analyzing them. Thus confirm the two concepts are false, and provide the basis for understanding of Chinese picture books correctly. This study will be divided into four parts as follows.In the first part of this study, we’ll confront the boom of children picture book in China in recent years, we find that Chinese picture books are neglected, and our aim is to expose the fact of their development.With these questions, I return to the history of Chinese picture books in the second part of this article to explore the development facts of the them, and select a foothold called "Children Picture Story Series" the ones that include eighty books and been created across thirty years in this history. Before this, we apprise the published profiles, creation tea, content and themes, and the historical value of this series to ensure the rationality and scientific of them. Then, we enter the main part of the study, and in this part, we’ll analysis the text of this sample including their writingã€picture and book binding based on picture book creation theory by using Documentary Research and Image Analysis. According to analyzing these picture books, we obtain three dimensions as children’s characteristics, national characteristics, characteristics of the times within this series of understanding this series deeply, Throng the study of the three dimensions we should not only reflect the lack that affected by the times of these picture books, but also learn from the success what can after the revelation of them.Finally, in the conclusion of this study, we can conclude that "Children Picture Story Series" as a sample of Chinese picture books had not only reached rare ontology awareness on the aspects of telling stories with pictures, but also aware of the particularity of their reader and national culture on the aspects of the exploration and attempt on their spirit.And all of those do be of great significance to the creation and research of Chinese picture books.In this study, we do not only clarify the two mistaken of understanding on Chinese picture books, we do also get some inspiration from the history of Chinese picture books for the current development of them to provide reference for the history, present and future of Chinese picture books’development. |
