Research Of Life Education On University Students

Recent years, the phenomena of university students’ committing suicide、harming others anddepreciating the value of life happens frequently. More and more university students feelemotional emptiness even if their material becomes richer. As builders of our socialist cause andsuccessors of the future, to some extent, university students’ life quality determines our nation’sfuture and destiny and therefore the promotion of university student’s Life education is one of themost urgent tasks we are facing now. The main purpose of this thesis is to help university studentscorrectly perceive and understand the value of life and hence guides them to cherish life so as torealize life worthiness and meaning of themselves.This thesis consists of four parts:The first part introduced the background and significance of this study as well as theprogress made at home and abroad in this field, which laid the foundation for further discussingthe topic of this thesis in the following parts.The second part stated the precise meaning of these crucial concepts, namely, life, outlook oflife and university students’ life education and then discussed the theoretical basis of lifeeducation. Moreover, on basis of previous relevant studies this part explored the goal, principleand contents of life education and provided a theoretical construction of life education.The third part is the questionnaire, which was designed to directly test university student’soutlook of life. By combination of the questionnaire results with other collected materials, thispart explored the reasons underlying the problems we observed, from the perspective of school,society, family and students themselves.In last part, on basis of the findings from previous studies and the current findings, the authorproposed that university student’s life education is a very complex system project. Then itdiscussed the ways of how to improve the quality of university student’ life education from theperspective of social education, family education, self-education as well as school education,which was treated as the most important one. We hope that the findings and discussions in thisthesis will be helpful for further studies in this field.
