In recent years, in our country, male violence entered gradually in people’s perspective, but masculinities study still in the early stage in China. Therefore, It is very meaningful for discussing masculinity and male violence.Through quantitatively research according to data from "male and gender equality survey" in China in2011contained2120samples, the results showed that male Intimate Partner Violence; male violence on their children; male violence outside home; male non-partner rape against women, such violence for men is common. There are factors mainly related to male violence:family gender division of labor, male growth experiences, sexual socialization and gender concepts. Quantitative research combined with literature review showed the gender power relations pattern in labor division of society and family are structural and basic factors of male violence. Men’s childhood trauma and violence experiences play an important role in the process of they forming violent behaviour and formating masculinity. That manifested their boyhoods’experiences of implementing violence and being abused from family, residential community, school and peer groups which have a great affect on male violence socialization. Sexuality is most important aspect of hegemonic masculinities. Society construct Compulsory Heterosexuality, Homophobia, aggressive and powerful sexuality, etc gender stereotypes to maintain patriarchal order and power relation. The double standard of sexuality and the stigmatization on women victims which are plausible to make violence legalized. In people’s gender concepts, violence is an extremely significance part of masculinity meanwhile people’s understanding of gender equality has been limited by so-called "gender differences". Masculinity and male violence are affecting and formating each other.
