| Junior high school stage is the stage of transformation of the individual from childhood to adolescence, and young people at this stage have many changes in the physical and psychological, the parent-child relationship has also undergone a change.As the parent-child relationship is the first interpersonal relationship in the life, is also the most important and basic relationships in the family.There is an important impact in cognitive, emotional and behavioral development of young people. Due to the special nature of junior high school students at the stage, good parent-child relationship plays a very important role in the health growth and the successful completion of socialization of the young person.Therefore,taking an attention on the parent-child relationship of the junior high school students has the important practical significance for the development of young people’s healthy and harmonious society.This study adopts both quantitative and qualitative research methods. In this study, we conducted a questionnaire survey by selecting150students from the three grades of Shenzhen Y Middle School and interviewed6parents of the students. From sorting out and analyzing the first hand information, we obtained as follows:1.The overall situation of the parent-child relationship of junior high school student is good. There is many contact between young people and their parents. Children and parents sometimes have a communication, but,it is not deep and frequency enough. It has significant correlation between the different gender in parent-child communication; parent-child conflict always happens in the junior high school families, but it is not intense; junior high school students and their parents give good overall score for their child-parent relationship, they hope their child-parent relationship be better by the efforts from children and family.2.The parents’support to their children, children’ recognition of the parenting style, understanding from the parents have important implications in junior high school parent-child relationship.Based on the above findings, The author have done some further explore focus on the ideal parent-child relationship in junior high school students’mind, the difference between junior high school students’relationship with his mothers and fathers, the impact of this relationship on academic achievement, as well as the children’s willingness on the changes of parent-child relationship in only one child family. At the end, the study gave a specific guidance and some suggestions on the development of the junior high school parent-child relationship from students,.parents,school and the society. |
