To Strengthen College Students' Patriotism Education Research In The New Period

Patriotism is a constant succession of the Chinese nation for thousands of yearsto carry forward the fine traditions of the Chinese nation self-improvement,prosperity and strength of a powerful spiritual force, is also to mobilize and inspirethe side of the glorious banner of the National Peoples unity and struggle. OnOctober15th,2007, President Hu Jintao in the report of the Seventeenth NationalCongress of the Communist Party of China pointed out that:"Implementing thescientific concept of development thoroughly, We must work energetically to build asocialist harmonious society, and social harmony is the essential attribute ofsocialism with Chinese characteristics." At this point, the modernization has entereda new period of development. In the new historical conditions, strengthening thepatriotic education of students and training college students patriotic feelings, andhelping students establish the " being proud of loving the motherland and beingashamed to harm the motherland" patriotic idea. And then into the consciouspatriotic action, Is an important task to carry out patriotic education of collegestudents.Patriotic education as an important part of undergraduate education,strengthening the research has important practical significance: Not only directlyrelated to the students themselves-round development of adult-taught or not, butalso related to the future and destiny of the party and state, and related to thesuccess or failure of socialism with Chinese characteristics, and most importantrelated to the great rejuvenation goals.Strengthening the patriotic education ofuniversity students, is a very important and urgent strategic task for us. Patrioticeducation of college students is a complex systems, there are a number ofshortcomings and problems in the process of the patriotic education of collegestudents in many aspects. This paper focuses on the problems and countermeasuresin college students patriotic education investigation and research.This article isdivided into four parts: the first part of the basic theory of the patriotic education is astarting point, and analyzes the theoretical connotation of patriotism and patrioticeducation, and the significance of strengthening of the patriotic education of college students.The second part of the system discusss the status of the patriotic education ofcollege students, in particular, especially to highlight the main problems in thepatriotic education of college students, and analyzes its causes.The third part, the bystudying the successful experience of the students patriotic education of foreigncountries (United States, Japan, Korea, for example), in order to achieve the purposeof the stones from other hills may serve to polish jade, patriotic education of collegestudents to provide some useful references.The fourth part is the ways and measuresof strengthening colleague students patriotic education which is the important partof this article. To strengthen the countermeasures taken by the students patrioticeducation and means of the discussed from different angles, in order to provide auseful reference for the construction of the college students patriotic education.
