| Three different versions of the chemistry textbook, namely, thePeople’s Educational version, Jiangsu Educational version, as well asShandong Educational version, have been put forward in China sincethe new chemistry curriculum standards in2003. Closely related to thelife of the students as well as the development of science andtechnology, the three versions of textbooks combine words withillustrations, focus on activity methods, and pay attention to the trainingof students scientific quality and the improvement of students learningskills.As the starting course for students in Senior One, Module1of thecompulsory chemistry textbook in Jiangsu Educational version providesthe basic knowledge and skills for students’ chemistry study. At thesame time, it lays a solid foundation for students to develop good waysof chemistry study. Based on the new curriculum idea, this thesis focuseson the analysis of the use of each column in the actual teaching.Targeting each column in the textbook, this thesis aslo analyses thesubstantial influence of the application of each column on the changeof students learning skills, in combination with the compilation intentionof the textbook.Through the research, the author has a further understanding of thecompilation intention of the textbook, as well as how teachers andstudents care and use each column in the textbook. The author alsoanalyzes the reasons and puts forward better approaches and ways touse each column. In a word, this thesis provides some theoretical andpractical evidence for the further development and application of thenew column function in the textbook, as well as the implementation ofthe new chemistry curriculum standards in high schools. |
