People always pay much attention to the moral quality of university students. There aretwo contradictory opinions about moral evaluation of college students:“Declining Theory”and “Rising Theory”. Why it comes the "Declining Theory" and “Rising Theory” is becausethere are some serious wrong tendencies in the process of the moral evaluation on collegestudents. It mainly shows in following aspects: the lack of the participation of collegestudents in the process of moral evaluation; the standard and content of the moral evaluationis out of date; the method of students’ moral evaluation is for single; the results of theevaluation is only one-sided. The reasons for above errors as following points: the public putundue high moral expectations on college students; the traditional moralities have an effecton the moral evaluation of college students; the subject of moral evaluation has lower quality;college students’ moral complexity effect on students’ moral evaluation and so on. On thebasis of reflection on college students’ moral evaluation, this paper proposes some feasiblecountermeasures as following points: build moral evaluation criterion which can keep up withtimes; the moral evaluation should with the guidance of scientific principles; accurately graspthe contents of college students’ moral evaluation; construction of multidimensional students’moral evaluation system. Studying students’ moral evaluation and their moral developmenthas a very important meaning.
