College Students’ Honest Quality Research

Honesty is a traditional virtue of the Chinese nation, is the cornerstone of the socialist moral system, is a basic ethics of citizen, is a foundation of people’s mission. Good faith was praised and widely read by people since ancient times. However, there have various kinds of social credit conditions’problems appeared in our country in recent years. One of them is college students’lack of honesty already aroused people’s widespread concern and attention.College students are the pillars and hope of our motherland, they are the main power of constructing socialist modernization, they are embodiment of the Chinese nation quality. Which express a positive function in society, economy and life. College students’honesty quality condition is the vane and barometer for entire social integrity quality. Their honesty quality not only determines their own behavior but also affects collective and countries. Such good faith is not inherent but gain from universities’training, families’education, societies’influence and themselves’cultivation and exercise.This report, by collecting and sorting the existing research literature, collating the theory of college students’honesty quality, which provides an theoretical basis for the research. On that basis, this paper finished by sampling questionnaire survey and interviews for college students who from4universities(2key universities and2common universities) and4occupation colleges(2career technical colleges and2technician colleges) in Hunan province. Through individual cases’review for growing process and interview for every stage’s teacher, and got the reason that caused the lack of current college students’honesty, that is today’s college students honesty quality overall exist a contradiction for honesty recognition, not clear about good faith category, an obvious utilitarian tendency of choosing honesty quality, not consistent for honesty realization and behavior, attributing the honesty quality’s loss to external factors. Specific expressed in studying, life, economy and employment for their different degree of dishonest behavior. The reasons that caused current students honesty loss are college’s incorrect education, families’lack of honesty and their own lax requirements as well as social environment’s influence.In view of above mentioned current status and reasons of college students honesty quality training, this paper give an corresponding countermeasure and advices, that is accurate understanding the problems of current college students honesty quality. From constructing campus’ good faith atmosphere, strengthening college students’honesty recognition, reforming universities’honesty education contents and ways, so that increase college students’honesty quality. From constructing college students’honesty education system, establishing completely supervision and punishment mechanism, building college students personal honesty quality files, and put their honesty records into network management so that improving college students honesty quality system, playing the assistant function of families’education in current college students honesty quality development, cultivating the whole societies’ honesty and moral culture, and creating an honest environment among colleges, families and societies.
