| All the time, scholars both home and abroad have done a lot of research andexploration on English grammar teaching. Studies show that English grammar, theframe of English, is necessary to teach. Under the new development (new curriculumreform and new college entrance examination) in China, the NCR(new curriculumreform for short), therefore, can be seemed as a chance for those who devote more tothe senior English grammar teaching and NCEE (the new college entrance examinationfor short). What does the NCR bring to the senior English grammar teaching and theCEE? How can the senior English teaching be adjusted to the development of NCEE?What kinds of methods and strategies can be adjusted to the senior English grammarteaching under the NCEE and CEE?At first, through the extensive literature review studied by scholars both home andabroad, I definitely believe that grammar teaching is very important and necessaryunder the NCR and NCEE; Secondly, considering the requirements of Educationdepartment about the senior English grammar and the form from Cai Xiang and Liu Yananalyzing appearances of the grammar points in the multiple choice of NCEE from1996to2001and justify the necessary of senior English grammar teaching both intheory and practice; thirdly, I designed a questionnaire on senior English grammarteaching basing on the emotional teaching and communicative strategies and handedthem out with a test paper of2008’s NCEE to265students of the foreign languagemiddle school in Jiaozuo, Henan province, trying to survey the condition and itsapplication of basic grammar knowledge. I got a relative and objective result from thisscientific and proper questionnaire. According to the analysis, I attempt to explore theeffects the NCEE brings to the senior English grammar teaching, and get a conclusionof some teachers’ and students’ problems during the senior English grammar teachingand sum up some principles, strategies, ways from aspects of students according to thecommunicative teaching strategy, then to come to the following results:Firstly, the senior English teaching must follow the principles of times,practicalness, practicality, concentricity, and gradualness under the NCEE and NCR; secondly, the new senior English teaching can take four strategies, such as contextualcommunicative teaching strategy, cognitive strategy from automatic learning,emotional strategy with optimistic and active attitude and text strategy merged intolanguage context; thirdly,from the aspects of students’ ways of thinking, learningneeds, features of affection and cognition, and final learning aim, we can get fivespecific methods, that is, to help students have a clear attitude on learning Englishgrammar, to teach them how to learn automatically, to develop the content of grammar,to activate the English grammar class and to make English grammar teaching throughmany channels and so on.In short, the changes of CEE ask for the reform of senior English grammarteaching. If the senior English grammar teaching adapts to the changes of CEE underthe NCR and NCEE, we will achieve a better teaching effect. |
