English writing is an important task in which students master the language skills. Itis also a weak link of English teaching in the junior middle school. The teaching ofEnglish writing is a difficult part in the teaching of English in junior middle schools ofChina.There is comparatively not much research done on teachers’ written feedback tostudents’ writing. There are numerous researches on the influence of teacher’s feedbackin English writing abroad. However, at home, the research on the same subject is limitedto different forms of teacher’s feedback and students’ attitude of different teacher’sfeedback. There are very few contrast studies on different ways of teacher’s feedbackaccording to students’different English level.This research takes the theory of process approach as the theory base. Processapproach brought the concept of feedback into the teaching of writing and created thesystem of feedback and correction, which helps writers efficiently detect and correct themistakes in their writings. The aim of this research is that the influence or effectivenessof teacher’s feedback to students in English writing, teachers’different altermodesaccording to students’different English level and students’ attitude to different teacher’sfeedback. I take teaching experiments and a questionnaire on some of the students attwo English teaching classes (training class1and training class2) in the Junior GradeThree of a training school in Taiyuan, Shanxi.In this research, training class1isexperimental class, and training class2is control class.This research shows that most of students confirm the necessity of teacher’sfeedback in English writing. Meanwhile, I suggest that teachers should adjust their waysof giving feedback according to students’different English level. Because this way ofteacher’s feedback can improve more effectively the students’ writing skill level andadvance greatly the influence or effectiveness of teacher’s feedback to students inEnglish writing.
