Function concept which reflects the essential property of quantitative relationship of the objective things is a important mathematics model to describe the changing rule of the objective world. Since always, function concept is the core content of the middle school mathematics. However, as a highly abstract concept, the function concept is the most difficult concept for student. Many survey found that students’understanding level of function concept is lower. How to improve the students’understanding of function concept? The researchers and practitioners put forward all kinds of teaching advices based different types of teaching theory, with the purpose of improving the teaching of function concept.In recent years, the research of the learning and teaching of multi-representations of mathematics has become a hot topic of conversation. As is known to all, a mathematical object can be described with mathematical symbol, image, chart, stating language, even actual model, which involving the Multi-representations of mathematics. A mass of research indicated that the learning of multi-representations of mathematics can help students learn various properties of mathematics object, and understand deeply it through the transformation and transformation its multi-representations.The function concept is the common attributes abstracted from analytical, image and list. Only studying its definition or its one characterization, the students are difficult to grasp the essence. Instead, studying the multi-representations of the function conception can inspire students to study its multiple attribute, and understand deeply it through the transformation and transformation of its multi-representations. This paper based on the perspective of learning multi-representations of mathematics probes into optimized the teaching strategies of multi-representations of the function concept, and probe into these strategies in the teaching practice.The research consists of theory research and practical research.In theory, mainly based on the perspective of learning multi-representations of mathematics, and combined with the characteristics of the function concept, the research probes into the optimized teaching strategies of the learning of multi-representations of function concept. As follows: (1) Set up the optimized the circumstances of multi-representations of the function concept, including:the guide follows the route as "variables correlation to corresponding correlation "; specific examples’representations include "analytic expression, figure and table";"Listening, saying, looking, and writing" must be combined.(2)Promote students to transform and translate the multi-representations of the function concept, including:packaging information; embedding scaffolds; combining symbolic-graphic; dynamic visual demonstrating; deep explaining.(3)Promoting the integration of the multi-representations of the function concept, including:cognitive processing exquisitely; making concept map strategy.In practices, the thesis employs teaching experiment according to the optimized teaching strategies based on the multi-representations as a main method supplemented by investigation and interview, in order to probe into the learning effect, the cognitive load and the learning efficiency.The teaching experimental results show that:(1)The optimized teaching strategies based on multi-representations of the function concept can significantly enhance the students’learning effect.(2)The optimized teaching strategies based on multi-representations of the function concept can significantly reduce the students’learning cognitive load.(3)The optimized teaching strategies based on multi-representations of the function concept can significantly enhance the students’learning efficiency.
