| As the important goal in Chinese modern high school art education is to develop students’imagination and creativity, promote the flexibility and variety of the ways of thinking, imagery thinking is the spiritual origin; I choose the meaning of imagery thinking to high school art education as my paper topic.Through explaining the inside of imagery thinking and arguing the influence and the effect of it, I can get that imagery thinking means much in extending students’creativity and improving their comprehensive quality. In our traditional culture, it is the Confucianism theories "Setting up Image to Fully Express Meaning" and "Heaven and Man combine into an integral whole" that develop the imagery thinking thoroughly. In art course, by studying and appreciating Chinese paintings, feeling the painters inside, the students not only can resonate with the painters, also understand Chinese painting’s humble artistic conception and symbolized ideas, which are expressed by using the selection and abstraction in the painting. So when students use the imagery thinking, they are interacted by the paintings’imagery. Therefore, students must develop and cultivated their own imagery thinking so that they can discover the image and circumstance the painters want to express. And students’sharp imagery thinking can promote to understand the paintings more deeply.From human’s history angle, imagery thinking was founded in Chinese ancient times and along with human civilization, it is used in various fields especially in Chinese Literature and Arts. But in modern times. imagery thinking still needs people’s hesitation and development. From biology angle, imagery thinking as well as human’s other abilities, is genetic and exists with brain’s conscious movement. However, exist doesn’t means being developed. Imagery thinking won’t get out of rudiment until it is developed and used. Just like the tree seedlings, can’t grow to big tree without the sun and the rain. Moreover in the era of acknowledge explosion, western literature and arts are using our unique imagery thinking to research and create arts works. We, especially the high school students group should develop this national thinking to extreme.According to the above, we can get to the point that imagery thinking can improve students’ imagination,creativity and personal comprehensive quality, and also can objectively reduce the insalubrious psychology, improve the ability to judge and appreciate the beauty; humane attainments; initiate students care and love for the life, society and human; Encourage students responsibility for the imagery thinking. Under the influence of Chinese traditional civilization and the encouragement of the Chinese traditional painting, the art teachers can develop and cultivate students’imagery thinking by setting appreciating courses, case study method courses and outdoor sketching courses. And for students, they should focus on their imagery thinking from child, and to raise the thinking ability by reading, appreciating, touching the nature and living into the life, and so on. |
