As the establishment of Zhoushan Islands new district in Zhejiang province, China, onJune30,2011, The logistics industry shall serve as the bellwether in the drive to furtherdevelopment of the marine economy of China, to build Zhoushan into one of the worldfamous Shipping center, and to bring about a new leap in the economy of theNingbo-Zhoushan port areas. Human resource is one of the most important factor ofindustries, the further development of logistics industry of Zhoushan Islands new districtwere depend much more on the logistics talent strategy.In order to reveal the status of the talent resource of the logistics industry, we definetalents as personnels that working in the enterprises or government except for support staffs,and suggest that the logistics industry contains two main parts, they are managementdepartment and logistics enterprise, and the logistics enterprise belongs to five kinds ofindustries. Based the statistics from the investigation of the talent of the logistics industry inZhoushan, this paper makes an in-depth analysis on the current situation, segmentedmarkets and main companies of Zhoushan’s logistics industry, and also makes manyadvices for the talent strategy and development.Moreover, this paper studied how to fulfill the talents demands for a company bycombined the statistics of the typical enterprises with related standards for post setting andpersonnel demand in certain industry, and based on the future plan for shipping industry ofZhoushan and other logistics strategies, forecasts on the demands of the talents ofZhoushan’s logistics industry in the future were made by using Delphi method and Trendextrapolation.
