Interactive Development Of Higher Education Institution And Regional Economy

With the advent of the era of knowledge economy, the higher education instituti on and regional economic and social development linkages are increasingly close. Th e three functions of the higher education institution such as personnel training, scienti fic research, social services give full play. With the methods of documentary research, field survey, comparative study, regional theory and the theory of universities’functi ons, taking the interactive development of Chongqing Jiaotong University for example, this research explores the interaction of the interactive development of the higher ed ucation institution and regional economy learning from experience abroad, combining domestic situation. The research also analyzes the issues such as the interactive partie s, mechanism and the systems, and gives advice on the interactive development of th e higher education institution and regional economy to promote the coordinated devel opment between the two.The research goes over the aboard and domestic theory and experience, and analy zes the interaction from two angles of the role of the higher education institution an d regional economy taking Chongqing Jiaotong University for example. With the anal yses of economic development on Chongqing region including GDP changes, industria1structure, the Chongqing economic development policy and planning, the situation o f higher education institution development, and the analyses of Chongqing Jiaotong U niversity in personnel training, teaching and research, social services, itself as the inst ance of the group, the research explores the interaction between the higher education institution and regional economic development.This research also discusses the problems in the interaction. The fitness of unive rsities’subjects, the training scale and social needs, and the level of the commerciali zation of research findings still need to improve. The construction of school hardware and software require to strengthen. Government intervention is too much. Lack of u niversities’funding will affect the development of higher education. The power of the cooperation between the enterprise and the higher education institution is insufficient. And the level of the cooperation is not high. High-tech innovation service system, v enture capital system, assessment and monitoring mechanisms are inadequate. To solv e these problems, the paper provides some suggestions. Optimize the discipline struct ure based on regional economic development needs. Strengthen the innovation team a nd platform construction. Promote the commercialization of research findings. Transfor m the government functions. Participate in the interaction more actively. Reform the i nteraction mechanisms.
