Researches On Current Situation And Countermeasures Of Physical Education In Rural Middle School Of Lichuan City

Nowadays,overall quality-oriented education is being carried out in China, a large c agricultural nation, where the rural population accounts for most of the nation’s total population. Therefore, the education quality of the rural areas will affect the quality of the whole national fundamental quality-oriented education directly. Physical education is an important part of quality-oriented education, and it performs the function of educating and keeping fitness. Also, rural school physical education plays a key part in the national school physical education, which makes it urgent to develop the rural school physical education. Important as it is, the rural school physical education is often ignored by many schools for some reasons.This thesis takes Lichuan, a city located in the southwest of China, as the research object, using some research methods such as documents, materials, questionnaire, digital statistics, logical analysis methods to investigate the current situation of Lichuan rural middle school’s physical education from the aspects of fund and equipment, teaching, teacher, extracurricular sports activities and students’ participation. The author also finds out the factors that influence the physical education, and come up with come concrete solutions.The investigation indicates that, because of the limited economic level and educational system, most school leaders focus their efforts on academic education, and ignore the physical education, resulting in the limited sports funds, the shortage of sports venues and equipments. Besides, the amount of physical education teachers is seriously scant, and the quality is inadequate, so they are not able to adapt to the new class standard. What’s more, the PE classes are not regularly set, and the teaching materials traditional, the teaching and evaluating methods limited. To make the matters worse, students are not interested to the extracurricular sports activities, let alone the awareness of "lifetime sports". Therefore, this thesis proposes some countermeasures, providing the reference for educational department:①developing the rural economy.②transforming the mind and strengthening the leadership.③enlarging the enforcement of the law and regulations of PE.④increasing the teachers’quantity and improving their quality.⑤increasing the sports funds and improving the sports equipments. ⑥developing the PE teaching resources.This thesis consists of five parts:The first part introduces the research background, the research purpose and the recent related studies. The second part is about the research object and methods. The third part describes the current situation of Lichuan rural middle school’s physical education and analyzes its influential factors. The fourth part explores the countermeasures to promote the development of Lichuan rural middle school’s physical education. The last part is about the conclusions and suggestions.
