Teachers’professional disposition refers to the practice performance of teachers during the teaching context, which also indicates teachers’correct moral orientation about teaching, students’learning and other related factors. It is a kind of behavior tendencies or inclinations which may guide teachers from the inner parts. Cultivating teacher candidates’professional disposition is not only in close connection of the quality of education, but also promotes the cultivation of teachers’professional morality, which has become a new path of the international teacher education. However, our country did not pay enough attention on cultivating teacher candidates’professional disposition at present. Thus we did not have a set of reasonable cultivation methods. The United States of America, on the other hand, had achieved a lot of successful cases in the training of teachers’professional disposition. Perhaps these experiences are valuable for us to take a reference.The paper uses the comparative methodology to deeply explore the cultivation of teacher candidates’professional disposition in USA. First and foremost, in the introduction part, this paper describes the problem of this study, analyzes the current researching status abroad and at home, defines the core concepts and discusses the objectives, contents and methods of the study. The main body is mainly composed of four parts.The first part interprets the professional behaviors of teacher candidates in USA, analyzing the meaning, characteristics, social background of forming and influences. The second part presents the cultivating standards of teacher candidates’ professional dispositions in USA, from the aspects of cause of formation, process of formation and factors of blocking its development.The third part puts a detailed analysis on the process of cultivating teacher candidates’professional dispositions in USA, from the aspects of theoretical foundation and practical conditions. Introducing the program of teacher candidates’education in the University of North Carolina Wilmington and explains the implemental effects of cultivating teacher candidates’professional dispositions in USA.The fourth part is the conclusion and inspiration, which summarizes the successful experiences of USA and proposes some targeted measures for cultivating our teacher candidates’professional disposition based on the status and problems of normal education in China.
