A lot of research results show that teacher is one of the most pressure career. Somespecial factors in school, caused high intensity psychological pressure for the teachers,such as high ratio of teacher-student, student’s limited development, the heavy workload,overburdened or conflict role, bad colleagues or work environment, low wages, difficultiesin time and resources, professional identity need etc. And the great psychological pressureoften leads to teachers’ dissatisfaction with the job, absenteeism and turnover, addtionally,make teachers appear series of wrong reactions of psychological (anxiety, depression),physical (headaches, tachycardia, excessive pressure, hypertension) or behavioral(drinking, smoking, living habit, sleep problems), and further causes job burnout.Therefore, professional pressure is directly responsible for the phenomina of teachers’occupational tiredness. In recent years, more and more researchers in job burnout studyhave paid attention to and used the self-efficacy theory to analyze the role of teachers’self-efficacy in the formation of job burnoutFirst, this paper described the background and significance of the research on thissubject, analyzed the domestic and foreign research status of self-efficacy, and pointed outthe main contents and research methods.Second, the teacher self-efficacy, teaching effectiveness, and job burnout and relatedtheory were reviewed, its concept cleared, at the same time, the correspondingcharacteristics, influencing factors and causes of theory pointed out.Then, using self-efficacy questionnaire, working pressure questionnaire and jobburnout questionnaire, a questionnaire survey was conducted among 150 middle schoolteachers, on the base of which, the relationship of the teacher self-efficacy, work pressureand the job burnout was discussed.Finally, according to the analysis results, the role of teachers’ self-efficacy inregulating work pressure and job burnout is cleared, and then countermeasures to improveschool teachers’ work pressure and job burnout were provided...
