After the new curriculum standard is made, inquiry learning has become a hot topic. Soteaching mode and strategy research is becoming a question that all teachers concern. Whilemodern society is the information society, information technology is developing rapidly, theinformation technology in the teaching mode of application has become an inevitable trend ofsocial development, and it has also become a major task that the primary and secondaryschool teachers should study and implement. The purpose of this study is how to make betteruse of information technology in the new curriculum under the guidance of the concept andhow to help the student to carry on the inquiry learning.We are aimed at helping the studentsto actively acquire information, organize information, to get the analysis of information andeventually to let them acquire the knowledge by themselves. The teachers should providestudents with a learning resource, and the students themselves then obtain and makescreening of the information, then all teachers and students should discuss with each otherand in that way we will get the result. After that we will show it in forms of courseware andput it on the campus network. The innovation of this research is that, the informationtechnology is no longer a simple multimedia courseware form, but a platform or tools.Information technology and high school geography inquiry learning are beneficial to thedevelopment of modern society’s needs for new talent.
