At present, China is at the stage of development bottleneck and anincrease in social contradictions and crime rate, jail as the defender of thelegal bottom line, the responsibility is also increasing. Standing on the highlevel and looking at the prison work, we have a new thinking andunderstanding for the tasks and function of prison work under the newsituation.In our country, the proportion of prisoners sentenced to death penaltywith a two-year reprieve is relatively higher among the criminals in custody.Such criminals have a strong anti-social consciousness and a seriousresistance to the reform psychologically. They have a bad habits and aregood at pretening，they assault police officers and commit murder, they stormthe prison to escape, those criminals have a greater risk of malignant cases.On October17,2009, four criminals, among which are two prisonerssentenced to death penalty with a two-year reprieve killed a police officerand fleed from Hohhot Second Prison. In recent years such events happenfrequently throughout the country.In the supervison work, to study andanalyse the characteristics and rules of thinking of the criminals to know theirideological and behaviour tendency is the needs of prevention measures,stability and the social harmony.In logic, subject, object, and tool are the three elements that constitute away of thinking.Criminals are the thinking subject, connecting elements ofthinking, according to a particular form, thus forming a specific thinkingrelationship between the three elements of prisoners sentenced death penaltywith a two-year reprieve in certain circumstances.A certain thinking structure and specific thinking model are so-calledthe way of thinking of those criminals. Unusual thinking of the prisonerssentenced to death penalty with a two-year reprieve forms a specific way ofthinking, finally forms their thinking characteristics.Criminals’ psychology is directly influenced by the criminals’ way of thinking. Only through the study of the way of thinkingof prisoners sentenced to death penalty with a two-year reprieve andgasping their characteristics shall we conduct the education and reform workto find a better countermeasures.Based on the practice and supported by thetheory, the paper hold on to the way of thinking of the criminals during thedifferent periods of reform, and put forward the needs to study the way ofthinking of those prisoners in order to find the transformingcountermeasures.
