The aim of this paper is to study the economic and social factors which affect the elderly healthin China. By utilizing Frequencies, Crosstabs and Linear Probability Model (LPM), this papercombines the data of CHNS to explore the health condition of the elderly and its effect factors.After providing the rational research conclusion, this paper put forward some sensiblesuggestions.The results of the study demonstrate that, firstly, the economic indicators have a significantinfluence on the elderly health—the old who is financially self-supporting, has the healthinsurance and his or her living property is near the health facility which can improve their health;secondly, the social indicators also have an apparent influence on the elderly healthy—the oldwho owns the higher education and has a spouse, participates in recreational and sports activities,they are more likely to have a better health, but those who live in developed areas are not inclinedto have a better health; thirdly, there is interaction effects between the inside of the socialindicators, and between the social indicators and the control indicators respectively.
